What is a VAST tag?
The Video Ad Serving Template (VAST) tag is a script that facilitates communication between video players and ad servers. The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) delivered it to simplify the process of embedding third-party video ads into video streams.
The tag contains information about the ad, such as the type of ad media and the dimensions, providing instructions to guarantee that the video ad plays correctly. When a publisher’s website is visited, this code (technically referred to as an XML markup schema) ensures that the ads are displayed correctly.
